3、l Purpose Analog Signal IsolationDescriptionThe HCPL-7800(A) isolationamplifier family was designedfor current sensing in electronicmotor drives. In a typicalimplementation, motor currents flow through an external resistor and the resulting analog voltage drop is sensed by the HCPL-7800(A). A differ
4、entialoutput voltage is created on theother side of the HCPL-7800(A) optical isolation barrier. This differential output voltage is proportional to the motor current and can be converted to a single- ended signal by using an op-amp as shown in the recommended application circuit. Sincecommon-mode vo
5、ltage swings ofseveral hundred volts in tens ofnanoseconds are common inmodern switching inverter motordrives, the HCPL-7800(A)was designed to ignore very highcommon-mode transient slewrates (of at least 10 kV/s).The high CMR capability of theHCPL-7800(A) isolation amplifier provides the precision a

For general applications,we recommend the HCPL-7800(gain tolerance of 3%). Forprecision applications Agilentoffers the HCPL-7800A with part-to-part gain toler
8、ance of 1%.The HCPL-7800(A) utilizes sigmadelta (-) analog-to-digitalconverter technology, chopperstabilized amplifiers, and a fullydifferential circuit topology.CAUTION: It is advised that normal static precautions be taken in handling and assembly of this component toprevent damage and/or degradat
9、ion which may be induced by ESD.2Together, these features deliverunequaled isolation-mode noiserejection, as well as excellent offsetand gain accuracy and stabilityover time and temperature.
