9、不定式连用,即为wh-+to do 结构,这种结构在句中的功能相当于wh-所引导的从句。在句中常用作主语、表语或宾语等。 e.g. When to start is not certain. 何时动身还没确定。(作主语) The problem is how to tie the bell to the cat.问题是怎样把铃系在猫的颈上。(作表语)Mary asked me where to get the milk. 玛丽问我去哪里取牛奶。(作宾语)2) “wh-+to do”作宾语更常见,此种结构可以转换成宾语从句。不定式所表示的动作通常是句子的主语或宾语的动作。对于谓语动词来说,这个不

10、定式动词的动作是个尚未发生的动作,所以在转化时通常要加上情态动词或用将来时表示未来。e.g. Lin Tao asked Jim where to go . = Lin Tao asked Jim where he would go .林涛问吉姆要去哪里。Task 2:练习:把下列句子改为简单句。1) Ill show you how you can run the machine.
