Pre-reading by giving background information about Twain MarkTwain, Mark (1835-1910) American writer. Mark Twain once said, To believe yourself to be brave is to be brave; it is t

Twain is famous for Tom Sawyer,Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and other books, along with essays, critical work, and more. / Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens) is one of the most famous writers in American literature. Twain went to work in 1847 when his father died. He s

6、tarted off as an apprentice to a printer, and from there, he wrote for his brothers newspaper and worked as a riverboat pilot (1857-61).3. Reading and underliningWhat would happen to a perfectly honest and intelligent stranger who should be turned adrift in London without a friend, and with no money
