1、英国宪法内容The British Constitution is usually described as “unwritten”. What is meant by “unwritten” is that it is not summarized into one single document as “the British Constitution”. The British Constitution is made up of three main parts: statutory law, common law and conventions. The Constitution c
2、an be altered or amended by normal parliamentary processes.Statutory law is the most important and takes precedence over the others if there is a clash. Statutes are laws that have actually been passed by Parliament, for example, the Magna Carte which protects the rights of the community against the
3、 Crown, the Bill of Rights which extends the powers of Parliament.Common low has never been precisely defined. It is deduced from customs or legal precedents and is interpreted in court cases by judges. Henryreform the courts and the laws. He improved the courts of justice, introduced the jury syste
4、m and institutionalized common law throughout the country. Conventions are rules and practices which are not legally enforceable, but are regarded as vital to the working of the government. For example, The English sovereign reigns, but does not rule. The prime minister can form a cabinet. These are conventional law rules without being passed by Parliament.
