2、aching Techniques” at the back of this guide. Here are some step-by-step instructions for one way to introduce this unit.You may begin by saying, “In the last unit”, we talked about our family. In this unit, were going to talk about our neighborhood.Have students brainstorm what they know about thei

3、r neighborhood and community, including shops, streets, buses, public buildings and so on. If your school is in the countryside, you may focus on a certain village or town. It is important for the students to start from their own, genuine and actual experiences of their life.Step1: Ask the students

4、what they can see in the picture and what the reading is about.Step2: Come to “think about it”.Step3: Let the students listen to the tape with the following questions: Where are Jenny and Brian?
