Masters Dissertation of Henan University of Science and Technology II

Our Chinese, as an important member with most speakers in the world languages family, inevitably falls in the game of language contact and language conflict. This is especially true ever sin

Culture contact and contact in some other aspects necessarily breeds language contact, and language contact unavoidably brings about language change. With language contact escalating to a certain level, language change leads to language conflict

10、finally. Lexical borrowing is the quickest answer to this language problem. In the past three decades or so, Mainland Modern Standard Chinese absorbs a great number of loanwords, and the number and growing rate exceed that of any other time in the long history of Chinese. However, as the scholar Ji

To choose data from two channels newspaper and internet is not only because these two channels take up half of the traditionally defined channels in the field of communications but also because where the inborn nature and responsibility of mass media in China lie broadcasting official policy as well as leading public opinion. Therefore, the data selected from mass media will be more representative and persuasive as modern standard Chinese at mainland. While, the present writer does not stop he
