Step 1: Date oBegin by writing the date on the line provided mm/dd/yyyy e.g. 12/28/2006 Step 2: Pay to the Order of oIndicate the name of the person or company to whom you are writing the check on the line next to Pay to the Order of Step 3: Dollar Amount oWrite out the numerical
3、dollar amount that the check will be cashed for in the box provided. Step 4: Writing out Dollar Amounts oIn the space provided, below Pay to the Order of, write the same dollar amount as previously indicated in words and a fraction for the less-than-dollar amounts. Then use a line to fill in empty s
4、pace on the line. Step 5: For/Memo oOn the bottom left hand corner of the check there is a line which will say For or Memo. On this line indicate for what purpose the check is being written. Step 6: Signature oOn the lower right portion of the check there will be a blank line for your signature, if
5、the check is to be cashed your signature must be there. Tips &amp;amp; Warnings oAlways keep your balance handy, if you dont know it and over draw on your account you will be charged a substantial fee by the bank. oDuplicate checkbooks that make carbon copies of your checks are a good idea a
6、s they keep a more accurate record of your transactions. oKeep your account number memorized Tips &amp;amp; Warnings Cont. oIf you give a person a post-dated check (one that you dont want cashed until a certain date). Let them know so that they are not surprised when the bank does not credit their account immediately. oDestroy your voided checks so that people do not get a hold of your routing number and are then able to counterfeit them. &lt;/p&gt;</p></p>
