1、沈阳师范大学 硕士学位论文 淮南子说理意象研究 姓名：周雪 申请学位级别：硕士 专业：中国古代文学 指导教师：刘刚 20100501 I 淮南子说理意象研究 摘 要 淮南子 ，又名淮南鸿烈 ，是西汉时期淮南王刘安及其宾客集体编写的一部论 著。在这部意为统治者提供借鉴，以论述天、地、人之间种种关系为主的百科全书式的 巨著中，出现了诸“水” 、 “音”等多种说理意象。 淮南子中的“水”意象，不仅包括了溪、泉、江、河、湖、海、渊、冰、雨、 云等自然形态，而且涵盖了水向下流的趋向特征，可以映照事物的属性，以及作为承载 的工具等各个方面的内容。此中的“水” ，已经从一种生命存在不可或缺的自然资源， 上升
2、为一个具有完全自觉意义的整体文学意象。 当然，具有如此丰富内涵的“水”意象，并不是淮南子首创的。早在尚书 与周易这两部早期著作中，水就已经脱离了具体物质的范围，而成为一种重要的原 始意象。此后，儒、道、法等家又不断在各自的作品中对“水”意象进行丰富和升发。 而淮南子 ，作为一部先秦诸子作品的整合之作，其中不可避免地会出现各家的痕迹， 并按照编著的需要对各种原始意象进行改进和充实。 “大禹治水” ，从单纯的洪水灾害神话上升到先民掌握水向下流动规律之后改造自 然成功的一种固定意象。水的洁净本性使它有澄清与浑浊之分。静止的清水可以成为人 们观察自身形貌甚至品行的镜子，而流动的浑水却不可能有这种功用。
3、在清澈的水镜面 前，任何事物都无从隐匿，必然以真实面目见诸世界。与此同时，水对人身体、气质等 又有一种潜移默化的熏陶作用。 在淮南子经常提到的意象中，除了“水”意象， “音”也是非常重要的一个意 象。 其实，从 “余音绕梁，三日不绝于耳” （ 列子汤问 ） “音”予人的美妙感受， 到“高山流水话知音”的惺惺相惜，皆可归属于“音”意象的范围。 淮南子中“音”意象主要包含三个层次：一是演奏“音”的各种乐器，如钟、 鼓、瑟、琴、箫等；二是“音”的宫、商、角、徵、羽五律及其变化；三是“音”充当 的情感传达媒介所起的重要作用。仔细观察，会发现这是一个呈链条型组合（演奏的乐 器五律及其变化传情作用）的意象
4、。在淮南子中， “音”的几个层次，不仅是 一个紧密联系的、浑融的整体，而且被编者有意识地反复运用。可以说， “音”这一意 象，已经完全具备了一个成熟的文学意象所应该具备的品质与功能。 淮南子中的“水” 、 “音”等说理意象，不仅是对先秦诸子著作中文学意象的一 种承继，更是对后世文学作品中经典文学意象的一种引领。 关键词： 淮南子; “水”意象; “音”意象 II Huainanzi philosophical research Abstract the Huainanzi, also known as the Huainan hung- Margaret , is wangliuan and
