7、地方”,而是“在旁边”。如: He is sitting at the table他坐在桌子旁。 3Is there any in the library? 图书馆有吗? 这是一个there be句型,表示某事物或人的存在关系。其结构是:There be某人或某物+某地。谓语动词be要与 主语的数一致。当主语是由两个或两个以上的名词充当时,谓语动词be要跟它相邻的那个名词的数一致。如: There is a man at the door门旁边有一个人。 There are two dogs and a cat under the table桌子下面有两只狗和一只猫。 4Ill show yo

8、u where it is我指给你在哪儿。 show既可用作及物动词,又可用作不及物动词,还可以用作名词,有多种含义。现将一常见用法作出归纳。 show用作不及物动词,有“显现;显出;露出”等意思;用作及物动词,有以下含义: (1)意为“给看;出示;显示”,后接双宾语。如: Will you kindly show me that coat over there?请把那儿的上衣拿给我看看好吗? Show your tickets,please请出示车票。 (2)意为“带领;引领”,习惯搭配有show sbtoshow sb. around.等。如: PIease show me to your

9、 school请带我到你们学校去。 Uncle Wang is going to show us around his farm王叔叔要领我们参观他的农场。 (3)意为“(向人)说明;表明;指示;放映;展出”等。如: Your homework shows that you are careful从你的作业上可以看出,你很认真。 show me the way,please请给我指路。 此外,show还可用作名词,意为“展览;陈列;演出”。如: There is going to be a picture show in our school我们学校将举办一次画展。 Her mother is

10、 in show business她的母亲从事演艺事业。 5No noiseplease! 请别喧哗! “No+名词动名词,常用于标语中,表示“禁止”(一般在公共场所使用),常见 的有: No smoking! 禁止吸烟! No parking! 禁止停车! No swimming! 禁止游泳! No spitting! 禁止吐痰! 6I said we would meet at a quarter to three我说我们在两点四十五分见面的。 主句是过去时,从句为过去将来时,would为will的过去式。过去将来时表示在过去某 个时间看,将要发生的动作或状态,多用于宾语从句或间接引语之中

11、。其结构是: would(should)+动词原形或was (were)going to+动词原形。如: Mary said she would go to the school again玛丽说她将再一次去那所学校。 I didnt know how he would go我不知道他会怎么去。 7 shes half an hour late! 她晚(迟)了半小时! 形容词与数量词或词组连用时,要放在后面。如: The road is about 50 metres wide这条路大约宽50米。 The new building is twentyfive storeys high这座新楼有
