1、山西财经大学 硕士学位论文 英文景点介绍的语篇分析-以山西旅游景点为例 姓名:田菊 申请学位级别:硕士 专业:外国语言学及应用语言学 指导教师:申屠菁 2011-05 摘 要 随着我国经济发展和国力增强,我国的国际地位和国家形象得到不断提升。因而, 我国对外旅游事业得以不断发展进步,涉外旅游行业得到了迅猛发展,旅游人数和从业 人数不断攀升,行业规模成几何级增长。山西省牢牢把握住这一发展机遇,在深入挖掘 历史自然资源的同时,全面推进涉外旅游行业的发展。因此,在此背景下,对涉外旅游 行业自身景点的宣传力度提出了新的、更高的要求。各地也纷纷采取各种有效宣传手段, 例如采取发放宣传手册、游览指南、旅游

2、广告等形式加强景点的推销。其中,景点介绍 是游客接受的最直接、最常见的宣传方式。它集合了信息功能、表达功能和感染力于一 身的文本,是书面语研究的独特而具有现实意义的一个平台。 当前,国内对于景点介绍的研究主要在措辞,句子结构和翻译原则等方面上,而从 文本的语篇分析的角度阐述景点介绍这一文本形式的研究则为数不多。因此本文着重从 语篇分析的连贯和衔接、主位/述位和主位推进两方面来对山西的一些旅游景点介绍进行 语言学意义上的微观分析,试图总结归纳出这些英文景点介绍的特点和规律并应用在其 写作和翻译中。从而将信息准确、到位、生动、全面的展现在潜在游客面前,激发他们 的旅游动机和热情,从而推动旅游事业的

3、全面健康发展。 本文第一章概述了我国旅游业的发展近况以及山西旅游业取得的成绩。同时还谈到 了研究景点介绍的意义和研究素材的来源。第二章陈述分析景点介绍的两个主要理论依 据连贯和衔接、主位/述位和主位推进;第三章介绍了景点介绍的词汇、句法及篇章的语 言学特点,并对景点介绍进行分类,从人文、自然相结合的三个方面剖析各自的特点; 第四章用实例分析衔接连贯和主位及主位推进理论在英文景点介绍中的应用;第五章先 对全文做了总结,接着指出语篇分析角度研究英文景点介绍中的收获与不足及今后努力 的方向。 关键词:景点介绍;语篇分析;连贯与衔接;主位/ 述位;主位推进模式 Abstract With the im

4、provement of economic strength in China, our nation s international status and image have been promoting greatly. Accordingly, its domestic tourist industry is mushrooming and prosperous, especially foreigners traveling in China develog rapidly, and it has attracted a large number of foreign visitor

5、s to have sightseeing in China. Shan province is holding this opportunity tightly to exploit the regional historical and natural resources and push the foreigners traveling in Shan forward. In this case, the work of the publicity and service in regions or spots of interests have been demanded regula

6、rly. Each region of the province have adopted various means marketing their own visiting places, by means of publicizing manuals, traveling guides, touring advertisement, tourist spot introductions etc. Of all these means, tourist spot introduction is one of the most direct and most common approache

7、s people would like to adopt. It is a multiple text combing functions of information, explanation and fascination and it is as well an exact base to explore its special and practical meaning. In fact, many researchers study recently on tourist spot introduction, however, is only in level of wording,

8、 sentence structure and translating standards. Its status has been promoting and expanding steadily. As a result, it is na

As we all know, tourism activity is becoming more and more frequent and various, which is one of the most popular ways of spending free time. Traveling lets people to see world, culture and tradition. Bes

12、ides, the tourism industry is of sufficient economies importance and its impact upon economies, environments and societies is significant enough for the subject of tourism to deserve academic consideration. Famous resort always attracts a great number of tourists, which improves the consumption and

13、stimulates the local economy. What s more, tourism can make great influence on culture spreading and publication. In other words, culture is the soul and foundation of tourism development. Tourism activity tends to be a common social and cultural phenomenon and all of these links can reflect their d

In a word, there is no doubt that tourism is a subject worthy of studying. 1.2 The development of tourism industry in Shan Province Traveling resources are in abundance in Shan Province, where the beautiful landscapes bestowed by its natural environment and cultural si

15、ghts focused on human civilization interspersing on Shan lands. The tourist resources in Shan Province are dominant in China in scale and quantity. The lately statistics indicates that there are three world cultural heritages in Shanyao City, Yungang Grottoes and Mount Wutai. Most of the sight spots

16、 in Shan Province are rich in their cultural capital which connote affluent historical relics and folk custom heritages. Tourism in Shan Province has been rising and it is still necessary to continue the further development in economy and culture. The feasible way to strengthen and enlarge the tourism industry in Shan is the publicity in various means. Tourism materials provide related knowledge including nature, geology,
