The movie Star Wars Episode:The Phantom Menace was the first space opera that I had ever seen and influenced me deeply. “May the force be with you” was my mant
2、ra at the time.The story begins in the year 32 BBY. A war outbreaks in a small, remote planet of Galactic Republic called Naboo. Two Jedi, Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent as ambassadors by the Jedi Council to resolve the dispute. Unknown to them, the Trade Federation is in league wit
3、h the mysterious Darth Sidious, Dark Lord of the Sith and the Trade Federation has blockaded the planet ant kidnapped the Queen Padme Amidala. Then the Jedi liberate the Queen and her guards, but due to the damage of the ship, they are forced to land on the desert planet called Tatooine for repairs.
4、 Young Anakin Skywalker helps them mend the spaceship and joins them. Qui-Gon is hoping to train Anakin to become a Jedi when they finally back to the capital, but it is rejected by the Jedi council. Frustrated by the Senates deliberation and lack of action, the Queen Amidala calls a vote in Supreme
5、 Chancellor and makes the Senator Palpatine become the new one. After this, the Queen decides to return to the Naboo to repel the invasion of her people with two Jedis accompany. With the Queens efforts, the Gungan people, who live in the city under the water, determine to join the battle against th
6、e Trade Federation. During the battle, With the Federations mother ship destroyed by the battleship controlled by Anakin, the droid army turns into a pile of scrap metal. People celebrate the great victory but at the same time Master Qui-gon is killed by an apprentice of the Sith Lord. After the war
7、, the Jedi Council agree to train Anakin to become a Jedi as Qui-Gons last words.The Star Wars is a legend. I will never forget the moment young Anakin first meet the teenage Queen Padme Amidala. He says:”Are you an angel? I heard the space pilots talk about that. They are the most beautiful creatur
8、es in the universe.” Yes, she is an angel as long as you see her smile when she hears the praise. I will never forget the Jedi Code: fight for justice and peace of the universe. I like using the word universe rather than world or earth after I saw this movie. Never has a movie been so intensely anti
9、cipated. Never has the media hype-machine been so well-greased for such an expectant public. Never has a film received a fanfare as loud as the one thats hailed Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. And never have so many people been so ready for the bubble to burst all over George Lucas face.Years have gone by and my memory of this movie never fades away. Let me end the review with the Jedis farewell words “May the force be with you.”
