Its dimensions are approximately 640 m in width and 324 m in length, with a structural height varying between 3.0 m and 4.5 m. The shape of the roof is relatively flat with a slight curvature in the area a

The truss girders are fixed to the columns and build a stiff frame, in order to brace the roof structure. ? Figure F-5? ? 36 ? ? Figure F-5: Primary Structure ? F-5? In a purlin cross, two of the four purlin connections have axial hinges as well, so that the purlin crosses will transfer loads mainly by bending and tension. ?Figure F-7? ? 36 m 36 m 9 m 6 m Shenzhen International Airport Terminal 3 Roof Structure Structural Narrative

In order to brace the structure horizontally, four cores are connected to the roof: Two in the Center Part and one each in the Northeast and the Southwest Part (Figure F-9). ? ?Figure F-9?
