Ltd are analyzed by using the ther

4、mal gravimetric analyzer. The results showed that the ignition and combustion stability of the design coals were not nice and the coals were difficult to be burnt out. At the meantime, according to the combustion behavior of theblend coals, the primary suggestions for type selection of boiler equipm

5、ents and the selection of operating parameters were proposed. Analysis of the combustion behaviors of the blend coals to be used in the boiler and adaptability of the boiler to coal rank variations indicated that the tangential firing is a better choice for the boiler.Keywords:energy and power engin

6、eering; combustion behaviors of blend coal; thermal gravimetric analysis; ultra- supercritical boiler; type selectionINTRODUCTIONAccording to the characteristics of Chinas coal resources, very large boilers usually could not be supplied by one coalmine with just one kind of coal, but supplied by sev

7、eral coalmines in accordance with a certain proportion of blended coals. Thus, the choices of the proportion, wind as well as the pulverized coal fineness selection will then generate, that is, how to organize the best combustion conditions with the best combustion. Especially when fueled with two k

8、ind coals with significant different combustion performance, such as a mix of the lean coal and the bituminous, the above questions should be paid more attention. The bituminous coal fires and burns easily, while the lean coal is adverse. On one hand, the ignition characteristic and the combustion s

9、tability of the lean coal can be enhanced in the blend coal combustion; on the other hand, due to the wind grabbing problem, the bituminous coal which fires earlier will affect the burn-out behaviors of the lean coal.The second stage project of Xisaishan Power Generation Co. Ltd in Hubei province in

10、tend to use blend coals mixed by the Shanxi Huangling bituminous coal and the Henan Mi county lean coal. The Composition of the design blend coal is 70% Shanxi Huangling bituminous coal and 30% Henan Mi county lean coal. In addition, the #1 checking coal is the Shanxi Huangling bituminous coal; the

11、#2 checking coal is the blend coal of 60% Shanxi Huangling bituminous coal and 40% Henan Mi county lean coal. Since the two kinds of coal different in the ignition and burnout behaviors, the blend coal combustion characteristics could be very complicated . The ignition, combustion stability, burnout

12、 as well as the slagging characteristics of the blend coal should be further studied. The results will be helpful to type selection, design optimization as well as safe and economical operation of the ultra-supercritical boilers. In this paper, the combustion characteristics of the blend coal were s

13、tudied by experiments.The combustion characteristics of the coal in the coal-fired power plant boiler (ignition stability and burnout) influence the design and the operation of the plant very much.The designs and layouts of burners, furnace and all stages of heating surfaces depend primarily on the

14、fuel characteristics .Because the designed coal is the blend coal, and the ignition and burnout characteristics of it may be more complex, so the type of furnace and the choice of burner is particularly important. In order to increase the combustion efficiency of the boiler, it is very important to

15、understand the characteristics of the blend coal and then adjust the combustion system for a good boiler operation suitable to the fuel characteristics .METHODS AND RESULTSTo intend to use coal as experimental samples and to carry out analysis of the coal industry and thermogravimetric experiment, T

16、est coal samples are Shanxi Huangling bituminous coal, Henan Mi County lean coal and Henan meager lean coal and Huangling bituminous mixed coal.
